OS bike modern crank help please

Is it possible to fit a modern crank to my os 84 quad & tange dontknow F & F. I need to up grade for some modern light wieght ones.

This is so i can make my old school bike as light and strong as poss for racing on.

Has anyone done this and can you please pass me on your tips.

Both of these bikes have been raced of late, i do swop parts over 12other.

 :) OS bikes have a USA bottom bracket shell.New school cranks have either a 19MM or 22MM spindle,so all you need to do is buy a matching size USA bottom bracket bearing set-all decent BMX shops will have them.

Old School design with New School quality's Yes! thats the way for me. was thinking of alloy cranks.

  :) If you`re after alloy,Primo Hollowbites are pretty good (22 mm) or Cyclesport have their own brand Prolite Stealth cranks for a bit less.

Billy ask Stodgy in the Radshop about twin pinch Redline Flight cranks, he had a good deal on them a little while ago, and you need cromo cranks not alloy  :daumenhoch:

Redline twin pinch flights fit a quad with a bit of fettling on the chain alignment.

Most 3 piece cranks will be heavier than a one piece crank. They will be MUCH stonger, but heavier  :daumenhoch:

  Yes thats true just my hollow one piese are getting a hammering & didnt want a accident breaking them.
