I know this is a long shot by far.

At a South East regional held at Hayes I managed to beat Gary Llewelyn (coz he fell off!) in a heat. Some weeks later I was told by a fellow rider that there was a photo of that particular race in BMX Bi-Weekly.

If my memory serves me correctly my number plate was 4482 and I was most likely wearing a white open face helmet with black Haro visor, possibly a black or white JT mouthguard, name Peter Murrell. My bike was a chrome Star (pre-GHP), gold araya 7x's...

I have a feeling this race was possibly between Sept - Nov between 1984-85. Any help would be appreciated.

That would have been the 15expert class and it would have been in 1984 check with member MOLEY as i think he has all the SCANN"S from all the mags

Hi Pete hope thats of some use mate i gave all my bikes away in 1990 / 91 over 20 of them i own 3 of my old race bikes that i have got back over the last 3/4 years have you still got your STAR thats a nice bike
