Not to sure on the "Real Tree" finish on the first PK  :-\

Love the Gold/Brown PK  :smitten:

Not keen on the Red/Blue Quad...think its the Blue Decals on the forks + the grips

Love the Blue Floval  :smitten:

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

I reckon the new dropouts/seatstay junction on the Floval/Ripper is an improvement.Don`t see the point in US bottom brackets on the loopy frames is necessary. The frames themselves aren`t too bad, just reckon the price is way too high & the components are generic crap.So near yet still so far.

Id say that was a fair observation James, how much are these bikes new?

Hmm, id say they are slightly overpriced only slightly though, £500 is too close to something like a redline flight which has a much better spec.

Id say the price point should be more near £300-350, SE could really capture that middle segment of the market instead of trying to compete with the top end.

But thats just my humble observation  ;)

hey!

i cant wait for the "pk ripper" road bike!

it'll go perfectly with my "pk ripper" tea towell and my "pk ripper" bath robe with matching slippers!

when will the "pk ripper" patio and barbecue set be dropping??

is it true that theres a Mcdonalds V's SE racing collaboration "McRipper burger"

lol,

whatever was "bmx" at SE racing is long dead.

any heritage or dignity the old company had has gone,

R.I.P SE racing.

was actually considering a 24 quad as a 40th present of the missus next year unsure now though, i think that color scheme spoils the look of the whole bike, 24" inches suggest a more mature owner , the dc issue is a fine example of that, as for the pk  :idiot2: its listed as metal finnish i think , supposed to look like what us noooooortheners call monkey metal ,you know the cheep sheet steel made from scrap that you put where it can't be seen , a poor choise IMO, looks like Laurence lewey bum bandit boine had go at it with scumble egg stuff and a wrag, don't mean i take i dry either just cos i know about him :LolLolLolLol:

I think SE need to decide whether they're an old school/retro company or a new school/modern day company, cos at the moment they are trying to be both and not particularly excelling at either.

I think they need to recruit someone with some sense of direction cos they can't live on former glories forever.

the retrothing  for me needs ending,it was a few years back and is now over ,they and all others just need to get off the band wagon.
i think they do need to just go all out modern or forget it.yes have items of said frames resemble the past a tad but get everything bang on modern.

they might be but just dont look like they would last that long ridden hard.

Well I've got a 2007 and a 2008 retro ripper, and I'm not unhappy, so where's the problem.  If you wanna buy then buy, if it aint good enough, make it good enough yourself...

Isn't that the way it always was, and if so, could the actual problem be that we are all trying too hard to become Victor Meldrew.
