Crank Help Please
« on: October 09, 2009, 09:45 AM »
I'm building up my original bike from bitd and a big thanks to Spen69 for that  :daumenhoch:

looking at old photo's I originally had a 1pc crank but when I got a bit better at racing we changed a few parts over the years and like most kids who started BMXin I went from a entry level bike to decent one........(but the F&F were still poo :uglystupid2:)......and like most bikes the end product had non of the original parts on ;)

So I'm wanting to recreate my original bike in its final evolution........one item I'm stuck with is the crank.

The crank is alloy and anno'd red with the words "silver streak" on it....I would post pickies...but I don't have a scanner at the moment.

Any one shed some light on it?

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

That may be right as I had an SR Stem and SR Seat Clamp on it at the time..... ???

It looked kinda like this one but where the red anno is on the arms it said "Silver Streak" as well  ???

Looking at the link of the Diamond back the cranks look like Sakae ones.  The spider isn't flat. The arms look the same though.

SR and Sakae are the same I think. The arm and spider are 1 piece. Sugino and Suntour and the Takagi have flat spiders and are made from 2 seperate bits.
