Don't know what all the fuss was about - was just a normal weekend for me...... :LolLolLolLol:

.....I always end up in a hotel room with Northern John and Steve Wilson drinking Red Bull vodkas 'til daft o'clock in the morning, then try and get up and ride the next day...... Ahem.

On a more serious (!) note, I FINALLY got all my pics edited and uploaded to Photobucket. And tagged. And it took a bloody age 'cos my computer issss ssssooooo ssslllooowwwwww....

I only finished tonight! I started on Monday!!!!

Mind you, I've got about 130 to pick from to put in a thread, so that'll probably take forever too!

Well, over a week late, but that's how long it took for me to get over this last one -
many many thanks to EVERYONE who made it - I swear to god it was the BEST trip yet - 40 odd riders. ANd I mean ODD.
and here, my friends , is the beans semi-spilt on the trip that beat all others -
Firstly - we had a HUGE turn out - many thanks to all the northeners who made it down - blimey there were about 15 of you!
Geths Gang, Chris Hardy and Graeme, NJ and Jay, Gary forsyth who FLEW down frmo Scotland,
and also to Hitcher and Harris and Rich etc who came from the South...
and the devon/cornwall posse...
and Ridger and co from Dorset...
and everyone else Ive forgotten from list...

FRIDAY was a great session - Decoy rocked, Gary Forsyth was ripping - as was Hitchcox, alex, Tim Ruck, Ridger and co...
HUGE thanks to Kye for opening up the Trails - and opening our eyes to how trails should be ridden - GOD.
Jay getting through the big line was terrifying and amazing, peoper 'hang on tight' til he busts a fat Keith Treanor style no foot one hander over the last set - YES!
Alex Leech wrecked his wrist - NOOOOO! Hope you feel better Alex.

Then , after a 2 hour drive, it was off to Portreath and onto the TRACK - where Ridger hurt his shoulder - hope you are better mate.
Boris and Joe, the two young lovely studs form Tavistock BOTH bent their forks!
Jay learnt Flairs in the Resi !
NJ got 720s SMOOTH!

Friday night was beers at the Driftwood Spars, and I swear, I have NEVER been to a cooler pub - the staff were actually looking forward to having us stay - and got well involved in the spirit of Old Fools - they stayed open til about 2am that night... then it was off to Gary Forsyths room for Vodka - and a Rap Off. Yeah Boyeeeeeee.
Jay wrsetled with some manly chick from the pub - and literally nearly broke her back...
Boris frm Tavi became known as the lovechild of Brian Foster and Sue Pollard. It's uncanny!

Sat morning, with hangovers frm hell - we set sail for Camborne - some mellow headache riding went down - but it was SO HOT and SUNNY! So we were happy.
then off to NEWQUAY for lunch, and a ride at Wooden Waves park - the funnest riding part was finding a childs playground made entirely of RUBBER flooring, but  with a bank to wall, and a bank to some cool mogul type things - loads of fun. Philbert totally ruled at this place - as did Chris Hardy.

Then... the CRUISE into Newquay town - mumblers everywhere - [ small shorts on girls - you can see the lips moving but you cant hear what theyre saying]

QUESTY was with us - oh yes - I knew we were in for a fun time with the Man Mountian on board...
Beers on the seafront while ogling the local views ... and questy catching two CRABS in a pint clss - then going up to th e two hot chicks nearby and saying - " excuse me, can I give you crabs?"
then it was time to had back to the park to see...JAY PULL FLAIRS ON THE WOOD! Yeah!

Then is was SATURDAY NIGHT - ..... the saturday night to end all Saturday Nights...

Firstly - everyone was mellow and sitting out in the warm night outside the amazing Driftwood Spars pub... all were knackered from riding, surfing, being sunburnt! ...
so NJ and I decided it was time to get the place rocking.
4 bottles of Sambuca/ Aftershock etc later - the shots had done their magic - plus my birthday cake from the Old FOols - and the madness began.

Firstly , Boris, cool as hell tavistock local, and now NJ's nephew, got some hassle from a guy who was sitting in his car, outside the pub, where we were all stood , and he was revving and pointing his car at us...
he'd also tried to nick our Sambuca. Not wise. He then chatted to Boris on the very periphery of the group.. until I went over see what was going on and the dude had a GUN in his back pocket. No idea if it was real or not, but it looked it - it was MASSIVE.
So - one call to the rozzers later, and they turned up on MASS, but the dude had driven off ... drunk.
Half way through giving statements, fired up on booze, the call came in ... the guy had failed to stop and a huge chase was ensuiung ... off went the 4 cars/vans that arrived - and we thought that was it.
So ... at this point we were in the pub... and Joe from Tavistock had put one of those bendy black straws you get in pubs onto his ear, with the bent bit pointing towards his mouth - like a madonna headset...
and then I saw EVERYONE was doing it - including all the local farmers., surfers, honeymooning couples etc - and ALL night, once in a while you'd hear someone go  " hello, hellooo, HELLO@?! " as they pretended to lose signal. I remember getting into conversation with a couple on honeymoon, who both had these straws on - and they said it was the best night of their trip! Half way through, the bloke's straw dropped on the floor, and he said  to me " hang on , I cant hear you" until he put it back on. Genius.

Then ... the police came back...
And we had to go and finish our statements - god knows how.

Then when I went back into the pub, after about an HOUR... I saw Mark 'Tweaker' Theaker , who'd been taking pics that saturday, just in his PANTS having a good chat, a very close chat with a local sort. in the pub!
Still with his camera around his neck!
it was then 3am.. questy had passed out, ON THE LANDLADY. who was stroking his head. While NJ rested his ballbag on Questy's face - a great photo opportunity.

Then - and this is how cool the pub is - the staff went and got towels for EVERYBODY - and suggested a moonlight swim in the sea [ which is on the doorstep by the way]

And off everyone went - I was by now on deaths door so went to bed, in my car boot as I coudnt remember where my room was, but many many went swimming ,
and while that happened, something happened - but more on that later...
after the swim, the others went back to the pub for more booze - at 6am  ... what a place!
then .. it was a late night video-ing sesson of Questy having his newly circumcised manhood DRAWN ON with marker pen... by a LOCAL girl! St Agnes- what  a place!
Then ... when we all awoke for breakfast , the stories came out .... and we pieced together the evening ...

The landlady had the best story of all though...

apparantly, in the night , and we know nothing about this, a person , of great strength, LAUNCHED A BOAT off the harbout and into the sea. Not a rowing boat..
but a PROPER BOAT.
INTO THE SEA.
OWNED BY A DODGY PERVERT WITH A NAUGHTY HISTORY APPARANTLY.
WHO WAS ON THE PISS THAT NIGHT.
and while we all slept - the police, coastguard, and helicopter arrived at our place of residence to look for the wahed up body... turns out he was fine,
and all this while we slept.
Remember - this is a picturesque beautiful little surfing village in Cornwall, in a little cove... and they LOVE the Old Fools coming to town!

And that's it. One last thing to add - I got a letter today form the police, telling me I dont have to testify in court as the blike with the Gun was being done for SO many things...
dangerous driving
possession of cocaine and cannibis
speeding
failing to stop
assault on a police officer
drunk driving
possession of a firearm

and he's pleading NOT Guilty!

what a weekend.
Now - ask youreslves this -
Are you coming next year?

Old FOols RULES!

:uglystupid2: thats worrying Mikie, very odd bunch.

My first Old fools but certainly not my last, had a great weekend even if Saturday was a bit of a no go due to alcohol cludiness from Friday night.

Good stories Gary, not forgetting when nj was trying to get someone through the small window by the doors on saturday night.

Good pic of Jay's sparing partner, seriously thought he'd concussed her when she went head first at speed intot he doors though.

I've got a few pictures from Wooden Waves on Saturday I'll sort through & upload soon but I've already done the clips of on of jay's early flairs;

& nj's nose manual along the gym bench;

Good to meet you all & see you at the next one.

Graham.
