it's a 91 Ground Master.........i will be riding one on Sunday mate  :daumenhoch:

give Glen a nudge as he's been after one for years!  he rode one BITD and has been on the look out for ages now.....they don't pop up to often  :daumenhoch:

If you are looking for a project though, you'll find it pretty impossible to find any decals for it......believe me i've tried!   :-\

Thats my old bike that!

It had the awful orange stickers on it rather than the col green ones so I peeled them!

I rode that bike at one of the early derby skatepark get togethers and had people telling me it wasnt a Haro as they never did them with lugs...........duh!!!!

Your right Chris...92 has none of the useless rear peg mounts ( designed for bending chainstays )

I sold that to a guy in Nottingham a few years back.......he obviously punted it on to this guy ( I must admit I sold it for more that it went for )......I know its mine cos I put those wheels and Haro tyres on it and the crankset....oh and the bars ( which incidentally aren't Hoffmans they are Diamondback ones from Halfords!!! )
The funky front brake thing was nothing to do with me......as you know Chris i never rode with a front brake!

Yes I was thinking 92 as I had both the 91 & 92, I think the 91 had a coaster bracket & the 92 didn't

Sorry there not great pic's, but you can see the difference between the two, the rear peg mounts, the coaster bracket & the decals  :)

i left the reflectors on as that is how it came from the shop  :daumenhoch:

As I said, I had, I sold it along with around 80% of my Haro collection a few years ago  :(

I'm sure the new owner, who had one of these BITD as his 1st BMX will keep it as it is  ???

Yes my 92 was also stamped 91  :-\  & my 91 was stamped 90  ???  no idea what was going on at Haro back then   :idiot2:

think about the lead time for manufacturing and releasing models  (same as now)

2010 bikes avaiiable now, the release date is september for bikes (time of all the trade shows)  ergo made in 2009

will be the same in 90/91/92 yes??

debate;  92 ground master = first and last time they ever got the master right?  (apart from stickers)

80s haros looked great, were in fact weak shite, airmasters were total kack, 91 master had the hoopty dooty rear pegmounts, 92 was stronger. U brakes, no rubbish pegmount.. then they dropped u-brakes and/or went awful mega downtube!
anyone agree?

Never thought about it like that before, but yes you do have a good point, but I could never work out why they had no 990 on the front  ???

I like the 84 Master best  8)

Yes but why  ???

I guess the 92 is/was such a good design because it took years of stuff breaking & riders ideas to get it just right, I guess this is why a lot of New Skool frames look very similar, they have found over time what works best  8)

I look forward to seeing this built up  :coolsmiley:

i love the decals on my 91  :daumenhoch:  not sure they were that much stronger than the ones before though........there don't seem to be to many around??

other than the peg mounts and the coaster tab, is there any other diferences between the 91 and 92?  oh and the colour change on the decals  :daumenhoch:

mines stamped 91 by the way  :)

I don't think they were that strong either......I manage to bend mine from the headtube so the downtube looked like an early Gt Performer and the twin top tubes looked like bananas!!!

Nice bike to ride though!
