My honest opinion would be to give that a really good clean (not respray or re-powder).

I think you'd regret it otherwise (its near impossible to find one in this original condition).

Thanks - good luck  :daumenhoch:

Oh - Great bike

I agree with Crazy, it is better to keep it original where possible  8)

That's a really nice survivor but the welding (especially the head tube + gusset) isn't the prettiest I've seen.  Were all Redlines like that?

The quality went slightly downhill in my opinion when Redline started getting the frames made in Japan (from memory around 1983 I thinks)

...... still great bikes though  :smitten:

Odd that as most people consider Jap made frames and forks to be far superior in terms of welding quality and finish than american built frames and forks bitd  :-\

Cracking looking frame and fork set though, a good once over with a Meguiars clay bar and some Meguiars Scratch X and then some NXT polish and that will look fantastic  :daumenhoch:

Was just comparing the welding on my US made Proline to my Jap made PL-20 Marty..... and the US welding is waaaaay better - really nice beading  :daumenhoch:
