GHP decals wanted
« on: August 05, 2005, 05:43 PM »
Anyone out there making any GHP repro decals? I am looking for the 1985 tri-colour Pro 1 / Pro 2 decals.

Thanks

Neil

Hey Sub ,

Me too !

Looking for the Chrome lined version , it would now appear that my F+F was one of the very early ones (Sept 83)

Ask Mario on os-bmx.com - he is MS4972, or something like that. I have got them on my GHP, and the look pretty good. Definately not the originals though - you can tell that immediately. But there is nothing better at the moment.

Yeah , you & a few others have mentioned Mario , so I will contact him.

I'm in touch with another guy also who has some NOS bits & pieces , I don't think full sets though.  I think he may have a few of the block type coloured ones , I'll find out.

Did you manage to find another F+F ?

Matt

There is someone who has a f&f, but he is being really cagey about it - you know, not answering emails and being generally difficult. And yesterday I found a NOS 85 GHP Pro 2 (I think) and what might be (fingers crossed) a GHP Trix. Watch this space.

Yeah - I sent him an email about 2 weeks ago, and still not heard anything. To be fair, I reckon he's a busy guy.

I have sets of most of the decals both foil and block types. I want to get some really good repros done of the foil decals but have no reference decals to go off. If you are going to take off old decals please keep them for me even in bits, as the pantone ref. is the hardest part to get correct when printing. Photos and other ref. will be really appreciated. I will sell full sets of them at cost price when done. They will be screen printed so you should not be able to tell the repros from the originals. There are a number of people who have done this and before but no one has done it properly. Lets get it sorted.

Can you heat the originals like normal decals to get them off ?

If so I'll do mine at some point

Mario has posted also on OS

Good man. I think your set are the best bet. You will be sorted out once they are printed.

Thankfully they are quite regularly spotted on Ebay - the seller is in Germany, and the pads are top notch.

Mario's are OK, but I think there are a few of us GHP owners that plan to get those tri-colours 100% correct. Keep checking back - hopefully it wont be too long away.
