my 2 sets arrived today

fitted one set to my 1in headset holmes and realised the padsets are made more for new school bikes

the cross bar pad is tight as the dancing man slams have quite a fat cross bar compared to new school bars which is no real prob

the top tube pad is loose and moves around as the top tube is smaller than new school bikes, so will get a smaller pad and see if that cures it

and the stem pad is made for a clamp on stem as on a shafted stem the shield wouldnt sit at the front, replaced it with a nos old stem pad instead and when comparing the old one to the new u can see the new one is longer


still well happy with them and big thanks to stodgy for  sorting them out

will try em on my holmes tonight, only need the stem pad to fit my 1" clamp on.

this will start a trend now, all sorts of new school rides will be out there with S&M pads. already seen em on a Colony...no, not mine.

I got mine yesterday. They ARE different from the old ones. The new ones have black stitching (my old ones all have white stitching) and text is the new "American Bike Co", where as the old ones said "American Made Bikes"
