Doing pad sets stickers is one thing but doing repro bars is just gonna make people sell them as genuine,i may as well post this and save it so when it happens i can say i said so, i have offered big money for dp ladder bars in the past and been refused my offer has been over £200 quid.

the only 2 other bikes i have seen on ebay with ladder bars i have bid on and one other than the dp freestyler frame and forks and ladder bars had nowt else worth anything to me so it was big till (£580 iirc?) just for a frame and the bars and a pile of stuff not sought after.
the other one i got and that has genuine day glo green ladder bars which are amazing and even glow in broad daylight.

i couldn't believe £380 sheets for a f+f either the other week, thats going to be one expensive build unless it has scrap fitted to it  :P

bugger selling em to people, keep em all for ourselves, steve thinks they may have been copied back in the 80's anyway so some that are out there may not be the real deal

IF i did have any bars made it will be clear to everyone that they are repro bars and not original. i get asked 2/3 times a week through the site for ladder bars. If people want them, may aswell offer them too.

thing is though whats to stop someone selling fake dp ladder bars as genuine ????

it already happens with pads,i even read it today a bloke buys genuine original pads that are genuine original repro's .

well i'll stick my neck out and say someone will try and sell them on as genuine and i would be very wary about buying genuine dp racing bars after  any repros are for sale for more than the repro's price, unless the person selling them has photo proof they owned the original bars before the repro's come out.

i better get mine in the museum with a date that shows mine to be before any repros are made.

never heard that and i used to go to loads of local bike shops in the north wales flintshire area, never ever saw any fake DP stuff and i used to see loads of bikes bitd.

i have however seen hutch ladder bars are you getting confused with those ??

Just Stamp them like Gossa (I think) and his ESP repops....nobody had a problem with Jonny Choppers Skyway race repops and I am sure he sold a fair amount.Great idea and will be a nice touch for that real dp look  :daumenhoch:

well said that man,if they are deffo able to tell they are repro (sorry i said fake earlier thats a harsh word  :-X)  thats ok i suppose but if repro identical dp ladder bars and frames start popping up making the values of the original stuff fall i would seriously think about getting rid. i have invested thousands into my dp firebirds and don't want my investment going ti ts up.
