Paul Wright lost his bottle and blew his semi, should had easily made it... and who's the dude with the Boss bars, super smooth!

But JT smooth didn't fail to impress, went big just about everywhere...!

Another BIG turnout for Preston, the track was minty and as usual well organised. I had fun as I always do, 1, 2 and 3 in the Owd Skool were well deserved and a reflection of the days performances from all 3 riders,

Good to see everyone

Is today's gate practice procedure how it is to be now? I found it a bit of a bummer that the track was shut to everyone not doing gates and those that did were called up like in moto's, which seemed to take ages, I am not the only one who felt like that either, its great to practice gates but for me personally, I would have preferred to warm up and climatise to the track in my own way. Not a critisism or a dampner either, just an observation and an opinion

MASSIVE thanks to Moley and his toolkit !!

Working like a Formula 1 technician to get my new bike built up. Pretty sure my efforts to lose bits in the grass didn't really help.

Last , 2nd from last, last and last....the only way is up !!

Can't wait for next race now...

Blimey 4 moto's of old skool thats superb

used to be like that in the south 2007 but not anymore

A few of us are hoping to get old skool going again over the winter,myself ,big kev carlin,kai rivere,ratty,croucher etc and couple of us will enter masters on our old skool if not enough turn up for old skool in the winter series as well as racing our cruisers.
Hopefully it will encourage people in the south to dragg there old skool rides out again

I think that all the riders who raced at the brits this year sort of resparked it for some of us in the south as the racing was superb.

sorry to hear about ian archibalds injury hope he's ok,never actuall y spoke to him at the brits just saw him dissapear in the distance

He went over the Step-up and put a crank in. He slipped the pedal just before the big doubles at the end of the first straight. He tried to bail but his momentum carried him over the double and he came down head first and landed on his left arm/shoulder on top of the 2nd part of the double. His Right arm was outstretched and hit the transition full on. So I presume its his right arm thats broken.

A real shame!!

Is he stuck down at Preston or has he been moved or got a lift back home?

Ok Guys.

The sad news is that Ian has broken his forearm in four places . Looks like he will get operated in the morning . Shawn Boyle who was with Ian called to say the Xrays he seen were a mess. It might be the case that he will get a plastic piece inserted below or on the elbow so he can get movement. Now that is not the med term I know but you get an idea of how serious this is. He will be in tonight and maybe tomorrow night at the most. Shawn had to go up home but we will keep u all posted in what the score is. We will find out if we can get him home . I think one of our mob will go back down to get him . We will know more l8r.

Lets join in and wish Ian a speedy recovery

Hi guys . Just a quick note to say thanx to Preston for putting on a grt meet yet again.

I was happy going home even tho the semi never went as planned. Some u get some u dont.
Also OS troops , grt bunch of lads.

The next meet we will get a seat for ian to watch .... Thats if wife does not kill him, FKD arm or not.

Well done to JD_76 for finally beating me!! He was like a well trained Ninja sneaking past me on the final straight. I'll have to tie a bell to his bike next time!!

Andyrooski was on form too!!

A big turn out from the Newbies in the North Region. Paul Wright (ex Factory rider), BMXBoy70, Nerdbenw, Stuart Richmond, James Nada (360 over the Double) and Karl Sanderson pulling out a few tricks!!!

Its good to see Dale back riding again too.

A great days racing with plenty of action, spills and tricks. I hope everyone is okay!!

A very good start to the winter series.

The only downside was the injury to Ian. It sounds very bad. Get well soon Ian!!
