There Has to be a quicker way!!!!
« on: September 07, 2009, 10:12 AM »
Radsters,
Have bought a CW Boulevard which i'm in the process of stripping.
Yesterday had an attempt at  Sandblasting the bars but wasn't making a bit of difference  >:(
Took a gas torch and a scraper to them and then attempted to Sand Blast again and bingo the paint is coming away. THIS TOOK ME 4 HOURS....for a set of Fooking Bars  :tickedoff:
Now I've still got the Forks and Frame to do, I'm guessing these were either stone baked or enameled  :-\
Anyone got any ideas how i can quicken this process, at this rate i'm still gonna be stripping at christmas
Any advice appreciated.
Al

Use automotive nito mors, works brilliantly.  Ive been using it on an S+M frame thats been spraybombed several times over its original paint and its all off now.  If its powder use gasket remover,  read here:  http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=54500.0
