Just remember it being a crackin' weekend even though I fell off in 15 y/o final...

i know i was there cant remember bugger all apart from tom lynch s  final win, hit the gate big time and worked his way back to 1st  .

was that the one where the track was only just finished and the jumps were soggy?  :LolLolLolLol:

it had a cyclo cross next to it, and the cyclo cross riders tried to race the bmxers and they all fell off on the first jump  :LolLolLolLol:

IT wasnt as good as the nbmxa Derby british champs

No Rich you're thinking of Himley Hall the year later. I remember Paul Roberts testing the camel when it was finished and crashing first go!

I raced at that meet i loved tamworth my number one track i got to 2ND in cruiser that year and a 4TH at hindley hall great days

I remember your final at Tamworth Tony, Andrew Brettle crashing in the last corner, i think Andy Pallemarts won if i remember after escaping the carnage. Didn't you have your motorbike crash just after this meet???

i think that was after hindley dave but knowing you u could well be right its a blur to me had tol look at my 2 brits final trophy to know i raced there lol

himley hall was the year before tamworth, was indeed very soft as only just built. get some pics up gossa  8)

Tamworth was Oct 1986 and Himley Hall was July 1987.
