Farewell to my 88 GT - last pics trackside
« on: September 01, 2009, 04:31 PM »
I managed to snap some shots of my beloved & now sold 1988 GT Pro Series in it's final guise before splitting. I just couldn't bring myself to powder it blue like the one I had so I decided to sell rather.

This was my first Old School frame & fork in two decades that I bought a couple years ago when I got back into the BMX scene. She's seen two incarnations, one with 3 piece cranks & one with factory spec SR opc's. She almost saw a third with black 80's GT seat, silver GT winged Pro Series seatclamp and Black/White Ame bubble font Duals - but I never got to that stage although the parts are sitting in my loft screaming at me - but it's best to remember her as I enjoyed her and not rush a build for the sake of pics or BOTM entry.

Thankfully a break in the grey weather & my diary allowed some sweet trackside pics for posterity:

April 1988 Serial Number - making her 21.
Original Chrome & decals.
Survivor GT Pro Bars, GT Pro Stem & GT pads by DYNO
NOS GT stamped seatpost, headset, Superlace hubs and Sprocket
Polished Tuffneck style Spider - cheers Harorider
Other NOS parts:
UKAI 1.75 rims,  Asahi spokes, IZUMI chain, Suntour 16T Freewheel, SR Cromolite Cranks, BB, Ame Bubble Rounds, Elina Flyte Tech saddle, Tioga Comp III Rainbow labels, Dia Compe MX 901 Caliper, cable & Tech IV lever, VP Beartrap pedals.

 :) :'( :)
