i think what happens too is people go build an old school bike to ride and it aint like it used to be.
i know i did.
first ride out i could'nt believe the amount of flexing and i never felt to safe jumping etc on it.
so the next step was a new school build which was a lot lot stronger and got me back riding again.
still got my oldies to look at as they will always be loads cooler than any new type. but deffo new school to ride.

Don't do that, just look in the sections you're interested in.

..... yep.. still old school for me, tho I have to say that certain parts are gettin really tough to come buy... hence builds takin longer to complete!

I have been 'painting my masterpiece' so to speak and it's taken a good while to source the right parts, one more part to find then I can build and show ya  :daumenhoch:

I think its because you need to re-mortgage to build any sort of OS bike now......fukin ridiculous money!

I would love to recreate my Gen 1, or my Torker 280 and defo my Trickstar......but i dont do the lottery anymore!  :2funny:

So i have to make do with riding my NS and looking at all the lovely builds. At the end of the day its all BMX.......and i fookin love it all.  :smitten:

Old School ain't dead, check the wanted sections or ebay, its seriously alive .... and plenty of peeps on here building stuff etc.. i've got 6 on the go, 3 haro sports, 1 master and 1 gen-1 and my grey retro quad which is basically done now. I do intend to ride more old school from now on also as I ain't getting any younger :)

For me its a bit of each, I think you should have at least one of the following:

1: Old skool show bike, rare and will only mature like a fine wine
2: Old skool rider, something sweet but you dont mind getting the tyres dirty
3: Mid skool racer - something you could ride and maybe an investment for the future
4: Nu skool all rounder - something cutting edge to hammer that will make you appreciate how NS bikes perform.

Variety is the spice of life, so they say.
