To cut bars, or not?
« on: August 19, 2009, 10:47 AM »
I just got some kneesavers for my haro rider, there the second version i think.

Just wondering whether to cut them down or not. They are 28" wide.

Is it just personal preference? They are 1.5" wider than my last bars, last bars felt ok but had too much sweep.

Are there any rules regarding width of your shoulders, ideal arm placement or anything, or is it just whatever feels right?

I may fit my grips and try them full width, see how they feel, probelm is i usualy fix my grips on and there a bit of a pain to get off again.

just put your grips on with lighter fluid, have a roll for a few days and see how they feel.

28" is getting to be the norm again. they felt good when I was 13, and feel just as good now.

go on honey, take a chance!

Not sure if mine are fusion or Kneesaver II

I found some comparison dimensions etc but not very concise.

Mine are 28" wide, not much sweep, and the uprights are wider at the bottom and taper as they come up to the crossbar.
