Anyone dyed Oakley 2's or A'me Rounds?
« on: August 16, 2009, 09:56 PM »
Got a yellow pair of Oakley 2's and a white pair of bubblicious A'me Rounds, wanted to dye them black or maybe blue for the Rounds. Any success stories of failures out there?

Thank you :daumenhoch:

I tried to dye some yellow 2s black..

Boiled them up with two ebony black dylon pellets for a good hour or two and they didn't take...

They just went a horrid dirty green colour so I wouldn't try em..

I'll take a pic and post them when I get home tonight dude..

I did some bubblicious yellow AME mini grip as a test and they went to black just fine  :daumenhoch:

I reckon a white pair will go blue OK

Thanks for the replies guys, do you think the 2's and O wings are diiferent compounds perhaps? Or is it all that unobtanium stuff they call it?

Yes I think Oakley 2s are a more plastic compound

2's are soft-ish, not hard and plasticky like a 3 grip. I know it's been said they don't take. Mmmmmm......is it worth the plunge?
