New Bike for Daughter

I'm having a look round at all the nasty offerings from Halfords etc and apart from the stunt king Bmx style bike they do there doesn't seem to be much about, unless I spend a lot more. I spotted these on ebay, the 20" wheeled BMX bikes don't look too bad and you can get them with Skyways as well.

They look ok compaired with a lot on offer, has anyone found anything similar that was ok ?

My daughter is 5 now and a 16" wheel bike is just the right size.

  Have a look at the Mongoose Motomicro 12,,my daughter is 5 and it`s just perfect for her little legs.

Thanks for the reply.  I must have been feeding her too much she has a 14" wheeled bike and is getting a bit big for that now !

I looked at the various Mongoose GT's etc and a lot have coaster brakes, no bad thing but she is pretty used to a freewheel now.

 The big prob with 16" Geese and GTs is the weight.The SE L`il Ripper and Redline Pitboss 16`s have alloy frames & a lot lighter but more expensive.

I'd love to get her a lil Ripper as I've got a proper one but they ain't cheap. She won't fit it for long the rate she is growing either. It would be nice to add to the collection though. Perhaps I could persuade her Mum

just taken my 6yr old daughter of her 16" mongoose as its to heavy, she is now zooming around on a 20" haro mini race bike, couldn't get her off it tonight

I can't understand why they make the 16" bikes so beefy, my Daughters mongoose pitcrew weighs more than my 20"

I love the TA replica. I didn't know you could still get 16" tuffs untill I looked around for lil Rippers earlier.
I was thinking that the Apollo Stunt King looked a bit like a Performer, bit of painting and some stickers, sorted.

I was shocked about how much they weighed as well. Let a youngster ride one for a while and they will fly around on a lightweight bike.

It's a really nice bike and much lighter than most 16" bikes.
I'm sure if you looked on the web you could find one at a much better price than that....

Got my little girl a mini gt, see pulled her first trick last weekend, fakie from a ramp - she's only 3 and still on stabilisers 

She likes going fast and puts her head down for less air drag, haha.

Just finished building this.
Mini Mag Burner.


Had the frame powdercoated (yellow was my daughters choice she even chose the shade!), new tyres, seat, grips, pedals and already had the brakes and levers. I really need some pads, not sure if its worth spending out on proper Burner ones, if I do then I need some stickers as well. The pads at the moment are pipe lagging covered with Fablon !
