Help please! Spoke length required
« on: August 15, 2009, 02:16 PM »
Hello all,
Firstly, what a fine forum this is.
Secondly, I need help determining what spoke length to use with my old school Araya Aero rims and sealed bearing Sunshine hubs.
Anyone know?

I would be ever so grateful.

Large flange or small flange, no inuendo intended  :daumenhoch:

3 cross or 4 cross pattern?

Wicked thanks for the response.
I'm no expert on sunshine hubs so I'm not entirely sure. However the front hub has a diameter 58-59mm and the rear flipflop at slightly smaller about 55mm - see photo. Small flange?

As for 3 or 4 cross I'm not sure of the benefits of either really. I'm going to be using these on an old school loopy ripper. 14t at the back and 46 at the front. I'm going for big speed to take on the racers in London. So whatever you think is best or easiest to spoke, i'll be doing it myself. ;)

Thanks again
