dx cranks finished
« on: August 12, 2009, 09:00 PM »
del's done me proud on these DX decals.

they were NOS blue arms, but seeing as i have a few sets all blue, i reckon black look pretty smart. the other set in another colour nearly done.
seeing these pics makes me realise i need to get the sawdust out the cracks now :-[ i should have been more carefull when sawing the flooring. :D
big thanx to the decal artist :daumenhoch: :4_17_5:

That paint job makes them look plastic.

Nice.
One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

finish is mat black heat resistant paint, baked on at 180°C for an hour to harden it. I didn't want to ruin the blue anno underneath, if i ever get boared i can nitromoors them and get the blue NOS finish underneath back. But i prefere black.

had NOS storage marks too. got another NOS set and one used. i suppose they are not NOS anymore, i've had them 5 years + and i'm not a shop so they are second hand
NOS means feck all anyhow, i've had tons of NOS stuff that looked like it had been stored in a tin box full of nuts in the back of a taxi for 20 years. Mint is the word you need to see.

some sense on here at last  :LolLolLolLol: brought 2 sets of black mx 1000s a while back , NOS in the bag maybe some storage marks , and a set that was described as mint , the mint ones were like new , better than the NOS ones
