I was riding my road bike down from Castle Acre towards Brandon.  There was a car parked on the side of the road with a bike rack on the boot.  Waiting by the car there was a lady.  I gather her son was in the bushes answering a call of nature.

We started talking about BMX and she and her son (I wish I could remember their names) told me about Brandon BMX.  I had my Schwinn Sting shipped from the states and raced a few times there.  Even rode it from Feltwell where I was living at the time through the Brandon forest a few times (That was fun!!)

I met a few cool people there and some kid who asked a million questions.  I posted his picture before (i think user name was "Phatrider") I believe his real name was Jay I think.

Good memories and good people there.  Sadly I spent more time at Flintknappers pub than i did at the track.....:)

Jay's Mills your talking about. I dont know if he's a member on here, but he's not much bigger now than he was then. He don't ask as many questions now. He also owns a shop in Bury st Edmonds called Hardcore Hobbies, as well as being the singer of a rock band (there was an interview with him a couple of months ago in Ride mag).

Phatrider is Paddy Baker, he was the same age group and also raced in EA in the late 80s, but he now lives in Sheffield. Paddy's a big lad who likes a pint. :daumenhoch:
