The penultimate event of the National season visits Manchester for the
first time this weekend.  The hosts have been busy preparing for the
event and are looking forward to welcoming new riders.  The track will
be in tip top condition no matter what the weather may bring.  One
area that the weather has affected is camping and spectator areas.
Camping will still be available.  There are showers, full time
security and it will be fully fenced, but the field has remained wet
and a better experience if not as convenient, might be better at a
regulated campsite.  Spectators...bring your Wellies!

Within the club's website, a dedicated page has been created showing
relevant information including Hotels and Campsites in the area.
Here's the link:

The campsite at Warrington is probably closest, but the club is
unable to vouch for the standard.

"National BMX" signs will be put up at the entrance to Platt Fields
Park, which is on the corner of Wilbraham and Wilmslow Road.  For
those with large vehicles, the club recommends you use the Langley
Road entrance, as the entrance to the track is accessed via a number
of parallel terraced house streets.  Langley Road is the widest of the
roads and is the last one on the left (or first on the right).

For those that enjoy a social shandy, Fallowfield is a student area,
so Bars and Restaurants are right on the doorstep.  Manchester's Curry
Mile is also within walking distance.

Please note that the track is closed on Thursday of this week and will
open on Friday at 5pm for 3 hours.

No access to the campsite will be permitted before Midday on Friday
and all units must be off site by Sunday evening.

The field next to the track always gets waterlogged!!  :(

The track held up okay under the rain at the Regional last week.   Fast corners and extremely rideable.

The rythym section on the last straight catches a few people out!!
