craftsman ship and finish 10/10

but, i would have to ask, is their any point to this bike?

its not representative of anything historic, its just an attempt at doing something a bit different...

what next, a trickstar penny farthing? a quadangle downhill 24" with full suspension?

lovely, but completely pointless.

I suppose the "point" is to win the kind of award it did.......

I agree that its nothing historic, but people have been modding their rides since day 1....look at all the welded up specials on Joe Kid!

Its the kind of bike that catches your eye at a show, you appreciate for the work involved, then gets a prize cos everyone remembers it.......and probably the kind of bike you build when you have got enough cash to have built most of the the other things you wanted.

its pointless becuase its a trickstar, and a freestyle bike, which you clearly couldnt use for doing freestyle on...

but i see your point...

i think i should do a 70's shopper, glue 10,000 pistachio half shells to it, put some tuffs on it and enter that.

that would be nuts....

Like it alot but its not in proportion as it looks like it needs bigger bars, seat and post. Obviously you cant get a bigger Kashi for it :LolLolLolLol:

Course you could....You should have seen graeme "ruler" doing no handed no footed endo's on a full suss mountain bike at bones! that tricky would be easy in comparison!

J.T. exactly what I said in a previous thread mate what's the point of 24" Freestyler. Couldn't see the point of the Haro or GT 24" Freestylers either.

Sorry money wasted in my opinion but each to their own.

Spot on, that is exactly the point. I also won "best cruiser" with a rare MCS made Hutch XL24. I brought 2 bikes to rockford and won with both of them. Some people brought about 10-15 with T.V's for display's and weren't so lucky,(maybe they won one).

dude, you build some of the best bikes going, and your cruiser is what its meant to be, and won justifiably, i just dont get the 20" turned into 24"s that never were back in the day...

its awesome as i said, i just dont get it thats all...

personal opinion is all :daumenhoch:

No, I hear ya. At this point to me it's a cruiser now,  you also have very nice bikes and they have history to them. But this is why we now have a "custom" category. I did almost everything else to a trickstar lol.

bitd my mate was 6ft 10" at 16 years old , had to have treatment to stop him growing because his knees were to week, all through the 80's he rode crusers, for freestlye, was know as the Honey Monster, :LolLolLolLol:,  i've got the wilson f+f he rode, something like the 24 trickstar would have been a dream come true for the monster,  :4_17_5:

Im neutral on this one as i think it looks mint, but Give me a 24" JMC/ Floval/ GHP/ anyday  :daumenhoch:

I am not sure what the definition of the custom category is, but for me, that would be the ultimate custom build.
I like it, and can see why it won the best of that category.

Interesting.....

As for not being able to freestyle on a cruiser....what a lot of nonsense.

I've ridden Aileens General Lee all over Kelvingrove skatepark and pulled plenty of flatland moves on it too.....

If you can't trick on a 24", it ain't the bike mate....if you get my drift.
