Another bike ID...
« on: July 29, 2009, 08:21 PM »
Alright all - got the chance of this bike from a local recycling place.  The guy thought it was a redline as theres a badge (sticker) on the headtube but I'm not convinced - gusset aint right for starters I don't think.  The only distinguishing feature is that the small gusset under the downtube has three holes in it  It reminds me of a falcon pro or something but I dunno.  The welds are neat and the ping test says its got decent tubes.  Parts are a mish mash as you can see - couple of suntour bits and an ashtabula part according to the dude.   Forks are bizarre almost totally flat bladed and defo not original I don't think.  Only serial # is on the dropout but my pics are rotten so can't decipher it now (doh) started with a D tho  :LolLolLolLol:

Anyway...your thoughts..POS or what?

Cheers

Like Oberonspacefruit said... you'd get £15 to £20 for the seat alone ... plus £15 for the stem (suntour?) .... depends what the bars are as well - probably worth the £50 for the parts alone - anything less is a bargain!

Sounds like it might be worth a punt...I'll find out how much they want and take it from there..

Not convinced the stem is a suntour or the bars CW though.
