Curtis Cruiser

For some of those that missed MK09 - The holy grail ! Curtis Cruiser

The frame and forks were in a bad way when I sourced it  :( ! Once the chrome was off, we discovered that someone had attacted the frame with a belt sander and the top tube was kinda square !

Doesn't look to bad in this pic, but trust me it was bad !

At first the dechroming look all good !

However then the horror story !

The bottom of the seat post had rotted away, so I took it to Argos Cycles to take a look, only to find someone had welded a seat post inside to butt the seat post tube to the BB !!!!!!! FFS  :'(

Anyway they sorted it - and gave her a lick of paint !

Then I dressed her up !  :daumenhoch:

Thank you Si  :daumenhoch:

Top work man that is one seriously minted looking bike - kudos!

Is it just me or is there something just a bit cooler about a bike that needs proper work to bring it back to this kind of shape than assembling NOS parts???

I agree thats a BOTM if not BOTY candidate...well in  :daumenhoch:

Very very nice Nick.

For a Bristolian, you can build a damn fine bike.
