88 haro master hubs/dropouts
« on: July 24, 2009, 08:42 PM »
Starting to get my 88 mster ready to build, still alot of parts needed, but i was looking at the forks and hubs.
I have 10mm axle, peregrine 48s hubs.

Whats the deal with the fork dropouts though? Its like a 10mm slot with a (14mm?) hole so the axle slots in then rattles around. Did these have flat sided 14mm hubs? Or, were there conversion washers? Or, once its all done up tight is it all ok anyway?

thanks

Yes you need some washers which have a little raised bit on them, I might have some, but since I move house I can't find anything  ::)

But I will sort out a link when I find you one  :daumenhoch:

http://vert-ego.com/main.htm

The link does not bring you right to them, so do a search for wheel washers & they will come up  :daumenhoch:

it will be a while yet and not too impressive.

Im building it to ride so used parts that arent correct for the bike.

The frame has also lost its chrome rear end.

It will still be a nice bike but not worth getting excited about seeing :)
