Brake Pads
« on: June 27, 2009, 08:26 PM »
Hey all, I recently bought a Odyssey Evo II from the Rad Shop :)  set it up and it's lovely. However 1 finger braking at the DJ's just don't seem to stop me quick enough when I decide to wimp out on an approaching line... normally resulting in me rolling over the lip and into the gap.

Other than being a little embarrassing to have to wimp out, it's made doubly worse by this digging myself out and dusting myself down.  :-[

If I brake with 2 fingers it's fine. But I feel I don't have enough grip on the bars to be fully in control.

SO... what's a decent pad that's gonna give me more grip / stopping power for 1 fingered braking??  Running a chrome rim btw.

Cheers.

when u buy some pads give em a quick sand and clean your rim with window cleaner :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Thanks all. Looks like I'll have plenty of time to sort some out after falling today and busting my clavicle. Surgery tomorrow.

Dust on your rim from riding trails is always going to affect your stopping power too :daumenhoch:
