Dorking trails today
« on: June 04, 2009, 08:02 PM »
Finally got me arse back up there and its fun as ever.

This is my favourite downhill section.

Start hill down to first jump

Into a left hander

Then straight into a right

Then a sweet tight left

Straight into a jump

And the next one

This bit is soooo sweet, ya going pretty quick by now

Triples

Couple of large ones

Left hander

Another table top

Into a left hander

Couple of last jumps and ya done

The place rocks ;)

Where? I sometimes cycle over to Headley Heath and then Box hill from Redhill with my mate on MTB's, but seeing as I have 3 DB's, I might have to arrange an afternoon out there!

Look like fun. :daumenhoch: About time we had some new TRAILS threads on here.
A few questions....
How old are they. Looks like someone built them a while ago but they havent been kept in tip-top condition or get much use.
Are you/anybody building/improving these trails. Id like to see a photo diary of how they grow if anybody is.
It would be good to see some pics/video of someone riding em.
How far is it back to the top ::) (Ill see if I can find em on google earth and find out) :P

I have a feeling this is the remains of an old bmx track. Its is run down but i think the MTBer's have been doing the house work on the place to keep it rideable. There are loads of different bits to it but becuase its so overgrown you cant see it all.

Location:  Dorking West train station. Follow side road through train station car park all the way to the bottom till you reach a field.   ;)

keep it lit!

There's a 4X track of some kind in Dorking as well.

Silly really, but I never ride locally these days cos I'm always at races every weekend.

Went here today, - a splendid place indeed.

A bit mroe difficult than bmx tracks I remember, and longer too, which in a way is much better. You can stop for a breather on that table top halfway round, which is nice.

And theres a lot of stone, brick and other sharp hard shart in the ground, they must have just bulldozed housed to build this....

But hey, am I even less brave than 25 years ago, but getting to the start right at the back, almost killed me, and I run a 39t front ring.......

A few kids came along, I took photos, they were rubbish, but I might post them later.
