:) Should be able to.Most bike bearings are pressed in & have the size etc stamped onto them if you need to source replacements...

thanks james, but you cannot get a screw driver in to tap it out, as there is no lip for your chisel/screw driver to get hold of....   :'(

the bearing centre and hub centre are both the same size and butt up to one another so you cannot geta grip onto it....

I know what you are saying...  it's a very poor design.

Buy a set of Suzue, they were designed by a person with a brain.

 ;)

I have the same problem. I think you need a small bearing puller but dont know where to get one.

I removed the shields on the outside, flushed them with GT85 and packed them with grease. they run ok at the mo but will need replacing once I can find a way to remove them

As above, the spindle has a shoulder in the centre. So you can tap one side out, followed by the other. Put an old wheel nut on the spindle to tap it, or use a hide hammer. :daumenhoch:

I came up with my own way of removing them  :)
Get one of these expanding bolts

Insert it till tight then nip it up with a spanner

Then twat it out with a small extension bar

Worked a treat for me and then i replaced them with 6001RS sealed bearings

Thats an old Suzue hub i've just used in the pictures for demontration, I did it this way to the Araya Aero's i sold to motomagII on here that had sealed Suntours  :)

spindle doesnt have a shoulder as you can remove it. from the hub with the bearings still in place.

top man snav guess I will be servicing them at the weekend then.  ;)

Getting sealed bearings out on hubs is a pot of p*ss! i usually just undo one of the hub bolts then knock out the axle with a plastic or wooden malet and if one of the bearings stay put in there then i use a drift on it :daumenhoch:
