Just finished restoring another loopy Ripper for my collection ... it landed on my doorstep looking like this

BEFORE - half stripped and in need of lots of time and TLC

AFTER - built with a mixed bag of NOS, restored and survivor parts ... I'm leaving the DX as they are

Tuf Neck stem
Hatta MX100 headset
Troxel 650 seat combo
Suntour seat clamp
Dia Compe MX1000's with Tech IV levers
Sugino OPC
Tuf Neck Power Disc and 43T Power Gear
Shimano DX pedals
Tange bottom bracket set
Pro Class wheels
Grippa Tyres

A huge thumbs up to Arnaud for the bars and forks

and yes, I do know it needs a chain

Steeevo.........I stripped and tried to polish a pk recently and gave up......how the hell did you mange that, particularly around the welds? Mine had been blasted before the though so it was pretty hard to get rid of all the light pitting to smooth again, impossible in the welds without smoothing the bead out.

A classic Ripper in THE classic colour scheme

I have a lovely baby blue one , and everyone likes the black and gold ones too

but an ally and blue one ,done right, blows the feckin' socks off the rest fella

Thanks Mark ... you're gonna struggle if your frame's been attacked with a blaster. I'd have it repainted if it was mine $:-\$

I was lucky with this one ... that candy blue is the original paint and what lay beneath was totally untouched

Question - how did you get on with refurbing the dropouts? Did you get them worked on, or did you just polish the crap out of them?
