Hmmm... how do you get a pedal out of a primo hollowbite arm -left side- when the steel insert just turns
? I am aware the thread is reversed. New arm.....

Take the pedal out with the insert attached & then get it removed from the spindle. Put the insert back in with some loc-tite or similar

Im gonna have to take it to a local engineer
, does anyone know how to re-build threads?

If the alloy is knackered it can have a helicoil put in it. Do the inserts screw into the alloy then? Mine hasnt come out- its just turned a little in the arm. Got to ride today so i'll try and remove the pedal later.

imo Hollowbites are great cranks! I've not had the issue with the pedal inserts (so far) & they are light (using a BSD Ti spindle, naturally) & certainly strong enough for me

I must admit I do like the look of them and I have a ti spindle also so they are light. The only problem I've had is catching my jeans (I know- not girls jeans) on the clamp part of the arm. Its even chucked me headfirst down a ramp
Been thinking about gettin' some mcneil conjoined.I got them off quad pete so if I change them he might duff me up
.
