Shabby Mongoose build.
« on: June 14, 2009, 04:48 PM »

Don’t post much but always keep an eye on this excellent forum, thought some of you guys would appreciate this.

Wanted to build a bike that does not look over restored.Had a similar Mongoose as a kid and this is the third I have owned as an adult.
Started with an 82 frame and tange forks both left as original chrome that has been polished,Decals were on the Frame and Forks when I got them these are mk1 decals and not mk2 as they should be but look like they have been on a long time so these have been left on.

This is a run down of the rest of the parts:
NOS TYRES 2.125 LI-HSIN front and 1.75 CHENG SHIN rear
USED DC 890's and copy TECH III's
NOS CLARKS CABLES
USED MIRAGE POWER DISC
NOS SUGINO CHAIN RING
USED SUGINO CRANK
NOS SKYWAY COPY PEDALS
NOS AERO SEAT AND CRO-MO POST
USED SUNTOUR POWER STEM
USED DIAMOND BACK PRO BARS
USED MONGOOSE BAR AND STEM PAD
USED ARAYA 7X WHEELS GT SEALED HUB on front ACS on rear
NOS AME CAM GRIPS
NEW KMC CHAIN

Cheers for that Danny, pic now sorted ;)
What I meant by shabby was it's more survivor style than a minter.
Cheer's for the good feedback,it's not so bad here,I should post more often 8).
