it still needs stripping then i use a bench polisher.but i prefer survivor stuff  has more character
some grade it down with ruff to smooth sand paper then to wet n dry ultra fine

is it chrome plated? try a bit of nitromose paint stripper first , just in the photo's it looks more like chrome spray rather than actual plate, chromed alloy always falls to bits,  and if that is plate its pretty poor, you can get a better finish with polishing, the link proves that , good luck bro , post the picks when it done  :daumenhoch:

Somewhere buried in the archives is Steve P's refurb on a pro neck mini stem, giving it the original look of a brushed finish, awesome resto job

Yeah, very blinging.   :coolsmiley:

Although I think it's such a shame when old school parts lose all their definition when people feel the need to polish them to within an inch of their life.
Crisp edges lost, definition lost.

Each to their own I guess, and I'd never presume to tell anybody what to do with their build/parts...   :-X  G.

Shame

chrome plate square cornered tuff necks are pretty rare and that has been polished to death , losing half the tigers head and the edges

to me its like spraying a rs2000 purple , some may like a non stock RS but to me its got to be original finish , its the law
