dia compe mx1000 front brake problem

just tried fitting an mx1000 front brake to my mrd pro and have found it seems too long and the brake pads wont line up with the wheel
so will a mx900 fit as its shorter?
and what are the chances of finding a blue one?

i had loads of blues but no more.
