Good question   :)

I've always used Autosol and bought Peek from  hardware store as they didnt stock Autosol
but they recommended it  :-\

I tried it once and it didnt manage the same results , I think this due to it not being as abrasive as Autosol  :-\

I think Autosol cleans and revives more from metal that has deteriotated
whereas Peek is to be used more as a polish ( a buff up ), similar to Brasso

I haven't used Peek since

might give it a whirl when they're due a cleaning  8)

i'm with dubber on this one , i think autosol is more abrasive for cleaning/reviving chrome where as peek is just polish

The best thing for polishing chrome is dry pumice powder, used with a slightly damp rag.
Its the only thing that will polish chrome properly without leaving tiny swirl marks.

No good for reviving but the best thign for polishign good chrome.

I used to work at a chrome platers and used pumice powder all the time :)

I think autosol is the best thing to bring chrome back to life if its in a bad state to start.

They now do an autosol liquid which is not abrasive and it just blings it right up. Great to use if the chrome is good to start with.

autosol to start , peek to finish,  when you machine polish stuff you would use different grades of compound in stages, rough to finishing, peek tends to be more friendly on aluminium as a finish , produces a better colour on ally,  imo, :daumenhoch:

autosol does cause scratch`s on chrome if not careful  and can make the yellow come through if chrome is not thick enough

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)
