HANDLE AND CROSSBAR PADS
Using old pads as a template cut out pieces leaving a sewing allowance approx 10-15mm around all sides. First turn allowance to the wrong side one of the the two shorter sides of material and stitch.repeat with the other short side. Next with inside of material now showing turn in sewing allowance(not vinyl-see below) from one of the long sides and stitch rough side of velcro to it. the underneath should now have two short stitched sides and one longer side with velcro. now turn over material to the right side.On the last edge turn allowance to the right side then take the other half of the velcro and position and stitch.
STEM PAD
As above use old pad as a model. You can replace foam if necessary or re-use the old. If you fold over material for the sides then mark a line on the foam it helps for stitching and keeping the sew line straight. Stitch sides first. Then the ends adding velcro where needed according to yor pattern.
If using vinyl the sides which need velcro don't need an allowance turned in as well as it makes it too thick to sew. cutting straight and neat on those edges is sufficient.
You can use poppers instead but any edge without velcro will need to be stitched over.
All work was done on a normal domestic sewing machine. It's easier to sew than explain!
