I'm not a fan of the trickstar myself, they look ugly to me.  The trickstar2 is really ugly  :crazy2: - but if its your thing, its your thing i guess.  The judge and pro race style ones look real nice, clean shape and simple design - bit short for these days, but so was I BITD  :P

Still, looking forward to see how they look - I'm ither gonna really like it or I'm going to be so dissapionted if they go the same way Haro, GT & Mongoose went :-\

Don't let me down Hutch  :knuppel2:    ;D

Not the same company though, it's a bit like Ford owning Jaguar - all they own are the rights not the legacy that belongs to past owners  :daumenhoch:

I've offered my 2p on this one over on vintage.
Personally, simply buying the old trading name doesn't make it right to knock out vintage, collectable, and now valuable items.
I wonder if opinions over there have mellowed, or is it down to the newer o/s collector, who due to cost/availability of these items, has more concern with having these items, rather than their preservation.

Fook, that was deep.

I was referring to previous posts in the thread about Ford owning Jag, Fiat and Ferrari etc.
To answer your question, wtf does the new Hutch frame have to do with vintage bmx, an awful lot mate, as the same guy is knocking out vintage stems, pedals and whatever else he can knock up and sell.
Go figure.

But surly things have advanced in frame production since the 80s, so really a new Hutch should in theory be better - from a riding point of view(not a nostalgic collectors point of view)?

Does anyone still ride a classic Hutch from the 80s(and I don't mean popin wheelies and endos)?  I think most would be scared to damage one these days  ;D  i know I would and I'm no shredder.

It'll be interesting to see what the new Hutch stuff turns out like.

At the moment it's difficult to judge the significance of the comeback when all their products are just reproductions of old designs.

Yea the new frames will be better, new design, new geo with Old school flavour.  I assume it  might be similar to that Kappa.
I raced my 82 pre serial Pro Racer a few times in the beginning of the year in the old school series.  It was ok, but too short and the geometry is wrong so I retired it and I use a 94 TNT pro XL now - which is much better on the track.  I also dont want to damage my Hutch.

nice shots, that would have been my dream bike when I was 14.  I have a friend who has a Hutch - hes owned it since 85 and used to bring it up the Ayton quary once every summer up till about 97- every time I see him I torture him to sell me it, but he'll never part with it.
