I Have Haro Freestyle first generation
« on: February 22, 2006, 02:00 PM »
Hi Newbie here,
I was just checking on ebay and i noticed this copy of my BMX
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HARO-FREESTYLER-BMX-1ST-GENERATION-COPY-FREE-POSTAGE_W0QQitemZ7219748473QQcategoryZ22677QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I have had the Bike since new and still used it untill some nice person stole the front skyway off it.
It is the first gen cos it is the same as one in pic but it as the bracket for the coaster brake.
How much is my bike worth??

My brother also has a Skyway TA with cws,Tuff wheels and an original skyway frame stand attachment.
Any ideas of the value for this.
Im a bit out of touch and did nt realise how prices had gone.
Thanks Will post some pics sometime soon.

The Haro's worth about £200.00 and I'd just throw in the TA to be honest, cos they're common as muck these days.

I've got the cash ready, just let me know where you are and I'll come and collect 'em from ya, it'll leave a space in your garage for that new garden vac to sit in aswell

Everyones a winner  :4_17_5:

Im in Yorkshire. Not sure i wanna sell it, ive had it since i was 10. That bike is my childhood.
On the other hand didnt realise it was worth so much £££££££. Its a little rusty with original
stickers, renthal bars, bear trap pedals, mushroom grips with donuts on em, blue coaster brake skyways and
uni lite seat. All this stuff from the 80's. Can you still buy stickers for this bike?

Firstly, welcome.

You can't by the original stickers any more, but reproductions are available.

Stick around the site a while - have a chat with a few members and get the 'love' back for BMX and then restore your Gen1.

I have a database going of Gen1 freestylers so I would be greatful if you could find out the serial number of yours for me and send me a picture of it too (the condition is not too important)

Cheers

Philip

Will post pics when im back in Yorkshire and i will get the code from the frame. So Gen 1s are pretty sought after?

You could say that, although there are more coming out of the 'old sheds' now and so there are quite a few around.

Gen 1 haros are very collectible and one sold for 750 quid frame and forks only not so long ago , it was mint though !

TAs agin very sought after espesh in chrome and worth about 250 ish for a frame and forks

I have to tell u this as I feel guilty keeping quite and letting someone mug you off for a few hundred quid for allof it

Keep em , restore em and enjoy the hobby mate you are ahead of the game with those 2 bikes
