 :LolLolLolLol:

Coming along very very slowly John, i've sort of got bored with the BMX scene at the moment but Bmxbob may have just rekindled my love affair so fingers crossed.
I've also been away on my summer Jollies so i also have post holiday blues to contend with.

Anyhow........Phil ( Sawzall) has still got some of my bits which i need to collect. I am going to get the Pro class rims powder coated chrome like Spesh's beach cruiser in the Non BMX topic place, these will then need to be built.

I've been offered a stamped Mongoose crank by someone on here, just waiting for some funds in the bank first though. I'm also talking to JimmyP over stickers for it, i'm hoping he can do a set, if not then it's off to America for them.  :buck2:

Thats about it i'm afraid, other than that it's been stuffed under the stairs.  ;D

Oh yeah, i'm sort of trying to finish Reeces Halfords build first, the pre bent brake lever came today from Biaggio.  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

One of the rims is fine but the other one has had some of it's alloy eaten away.

Phil said it would show quite badly if polished as he had a quick go, he suggested i had them powdered silver, i then saw Spesh's beach thing he had powdered chrome and it looks superb. i reckon thats the way to go mate, it's not as if this bike is going to be ridden so i wouldn't have to worry about brake rub.

i voted re-chrome, there's loads of good condition cali's knocking around, nothing wrong with loosing the og chrome. unless you rides it.

loving these ongoing build threads , i voted for survivor , i`d keep at the polishing when you have the time , it`ll make it seem more worthwhile when you finish it because it will all be done by your own hand , and you`ll be more proud of it ( and yourself). the frame has come up superb already i.m.h.o ...keep up the good work !!

Ok, thought i'd get to work on the small bits i can today as i had an hour free.

MarkyP's fault as he has now inspired me to crack on with this after seeing his superb build.

My Pro class stem polished then along with the Shimano rear brake.

Cheers Phil mate.

Still looking for a Renthal seatpost so fitted this one temporary just to look like something is happening to the build.  :LolLolLolLol:

My NOS Takagi gold spider and 39T chainring

And Phil ( Sawzall) also gave me this yesterday, i just need to find some thin plastic now and we have a M'goose number plate for it. :smitten:

Time for a small update with a couple of add ons whilst listening to the football this afternoon.

Mongoose Bottom bracket fitted along with the gold Takagi spider and chainring and Mongoose One piece crank.

Mongoose decals and grips have been ordered aswell now from BMX products.

I also made this the other week out of an old Numberplate i had and the Mongoose vinyl that Phil gave me. Thankfully the vinyl fitted quite nicely with the all the straps on the old plate  :coolsmiley:
