Spokes can be rebuilt, that makes them like the six million dollor man and he lived through a plane crash and he could jump really high.

Well I have demolished alloy rims beyond belief and busted bent and completly stuffed Tuffs as well. I've never like Z-rims much but I can appreciate them.
No wheel is worthy in my books. Not old ones anyway. New school stuff looks pretty strong though.
My graphites kept peeling the tires off the rear too. Thats why I sold them bitd. I wish I never did that now.

Although I love tuffs, sadly, I have to agree with Bob. Spokes already won the original fight back in '86-'87 and then also won the half-hearted attempt at a re-match in this millenium.

i wouldnt build an old school bike without tuffs.....for me they are 'the' wheel of the '80's
mind you that is only my opinion.
but after having triple walled 48's i wouldnt ride on anything other than spokes...they are so much more solid, and just to know that your tyre aint gonna peel off your rim is a nice feeling....

so................

old= skyways
new= spokeys
