« on: May 21, 2009, 01:28 PM »
Hi all

Cobbled together a load of parts just to build my Torker but now want to change a few bits for old school (I know Matt, I know - "told you so" eh?  ::))

Current Parts list:-

Frame: 1984 Torker Freestylist
Forks: Landing Gear copy (Possibly)
Wheels: Skyway Tuff II (Alloy hubs)
Tyres: Teckno (Comp 3 Tread)
Rear Sprocket: Dicta
Bottom Bracket: YST Sealed
Crank: Diamond Back
Chainring: Sugino (40T)
Chainring Bolts: Sugino
Chainring Spider: Sugino
Pedals: Shimano SX
Brake Calipers: Dia Compe MX 901’s
Brake Pads: Fatality
Brake Cables: Dia Compe
Brake Levers: Dia Compe MX Tech IV’s (Possibly)
Headset: YST Sealed
Detangler: Gyro 2 (To Be Fitted)
Detangler Cables: Blank, White, Upper & Lower (To Be Fitted)
Handle Bar Stem: Haro Fusion
Handle Bars: Haro Kneesavers 2K
Handle Bar Grips: Oakley F1 (Originals)
Seat Post Clamp: Unknown (Possibly Renthal, It has an “R” on it…)
Seat Post: Haro Fusion Half Lay Back
Seat: Dominator (Not Viscount)
Decals: Custom (By Me)

Not sure how old/new the Haro Fusion stuff is but looking to change the following:-

Crank: Diamond Back One Piece to Sugino One Piece
Brake Pads: Fatality to Tuff Pads or Kool Stop
Handle Bar Stem: Haro Fusion to unknown (poss to this or this )
Seat Post: Haro Fusion Half Layback to unknown layback/half layback

What do we think people?

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Lamby

hey Greg

few things I'd be looking to change:

front brake for a potts mod one if you are fitting a gyro.
potts mod stem bolt
maybe an older layback post or see if you can clean "Fusion" off it and move the seat back on it a touch.
older bars
and the tyres you are already looking at.

but just swap the odd bit as you find more suitable items, don't need to do it all in one go.
