How do i de-anodise something?

Can't find the Sugino chainring I want so thinking of buying a couple of anodised ones.

Can I remove the anodising? If so, how?

I use this stuff on me oven and fook me is it lethal

Will this not damage the finish of the chainring underneath the anodising?

Ovenpride all the way for me, dont use the provided bag though, use washing up gloves and a plastic tray to submerge the item in, dont leave to soak either, use your hands (in the gloves) to rub the item as it soaks, keep going till happy . Badda and indeed Bing

Both do the job good , just one's a little more lethal than the other !

I'm guessing the B&Q Caustic is cheaper although I already have Oven Pride in the house. I'll just need to convince the misses that oven shelves come in new shapes, sizes and colours!

oven pride for me 2, not in for long tho, and then a good polish!

I've used the OP , sorted pretty well . The caustic is more aggressive apparently but does damn good job .

I would start off with OP , if it does'nt perform as well as you hoped then move onto caustic .
