Would be good if we did this the same date as freewheel, the atmosphere was fantastic last year and it all adds to a great day out! ;)

I think do it the same day as Freewheel last year, the roads were safer, lots of action going on everywhere and the atmoshere was superb!  :)

yes Matt.......we do plan to run it on the same day as the atmosphere was superb!  the only problem is they haven't released this years date and if they go for the same weekend as last year, it is going to clash with the Brits  :-\

It'd be better to not have it clash with the Brits, However if it was the option of having it with the Freewheel event or not having it with the Freewheel event due to a clash with the Brits then I'd prefer to Have it with the Freewheel event. :daumenhoch:

Bit difficult to qualify when I'm not racing.  :LolLolLolLol:

I'm also not going to make the grid at Monaco this weekend either come to think about it.

The point I was trying to make was we'll only loose about 10 people from the ride if it happens to be that weekend, which would be a shame, but I think we need to keep it aligned to the Freewheel event more.

I really hope they don't clash because it'll not be the same without my old race buddies there.  :daumenhoch:

I agree mate i dont think we should do it without the freewheel event as from experience the london traffic isnt as nice to you on any other sunday!  Also if we do have a decent turn out of 80-100 riders it will be a complete nightmare without closed roads....

i'll be doing the brits none the less - lets hope it all works out.....  i have a completely free weekend the last weekend 26/27 so hopefully itll be that one.

Little Havens for me Rob, they are local to me and they really really do so much for them poor kids.
Its a heart breaker to see these kids dying at such a young age, anything to make there life's better has got to be a good thing i reckon.  :daumenhoch:

Sean.

yeah i am hoping that Little Havens would get it as they're a nice small charity that until this thread i'd never even heard of........unfortunately it looks like the GOSH effect has taken hold again.   :-\

If Little Havens comes second how about a 60-40 split between the 2?

lets wait and see how it pans out........to be honest i did think about leaving GOSH out of the vote as i knew people would vote for it.........don't get me wrong, i think the Hospital is an amazing place and they saved the life of my niece when she was only 6 months old......but they get tens of millions given to them every year and don't forget all the Peter pan money.

just thought it would be nice to give the 3k or whatever we end up raising to a smaller charity.

Well we cant see the results can we  :2funny:

And as organiser surely you have the right to remove GOSH?   I agree if they benefit from so many other fields it feels a lot better for our little organisation charity ride to be riding for a charity that is smaller and not as well supported.....

but what can you do......

i voted for gosh :daumenhoch:

i actually think that the NSPCC would be a much better charity than all of the above.

im fooking sick of seeing kids get slaps of there skagy drugged up parents. rather than ill kids maybe we should be looking at the abused and beaten kids.

like i said i voted for gosh already just voicing my opinion
