Redline PL24 Cruiser Bars - Info / Advice
« on: May 11, 2009, 05:20 PM »
I was looking around the U.S. Museum and noticed that some people when listing parts on their bikes say "Redline Cruiser Bars - Stamped"

I have a set on my PL rider which is an 84 white model - the bars are chrome obviously, but do not have any Redline stamping on.

I have several sets of Stu Thomsen straight/V bar "STR Series" bars which are in varying states but all stamped and the forklifter race bars I have just have the redline stamp on the plate lugs. The cruiser bars no Redline ident though.

Can any PL24 owners have a look at theirs or offer any info? They are exactly same width/height/bend etc as a set I have which ARE stamped.

Just wondering if Redline knocked a few out unstamped....  ???

Thanks.

Mine are stamped left side, approx 27"5 and 5"5 total rise, center to center

But have no clue if all of those bars were stamped BITD, Carl...

Here you go - if you look carefully you can just make out the stamp on the front right upright of the bars

These were (uncut) and wide - about 29" by 5" high

Thanks for the input guys.

Info coming in from some buddies on the U.S. forums is that bars between 83/5 on the PL have no consistency. All same design, some stamped Redline on left, some stamped right, some not stamped at all, but all have same distinctive "wide" design, rise and width.

If anyone else has thoughts please post.  :daumenhoch:
