No, I usually just squirt it on and give it a wipe with a cloth  :daumenhoch:

I suppose you could give the tyres a wash with some soap and a brush first to get the worst of the chalk off first though.

a quick scrub with hot soapy water,then silicon(dashboard)spray!they look clean even tho they are still filthy!! ;D

I forgot to add - yes they did look shit. But they kinda cleaned and revived a used 25 year old 2.125 GT tyre, restored the blackness and after a good wash it dulled down the shine a bit.
