Thats a shame, bet you wont make the same mistake twice.

I did the same thing with my freshly powdered Rebel Freestyler.  Its only powder (i.e. not original finish) so not half as bad, but still a bit gutting, especially as I now have loads of nylon washers.

Another one for me was fitting a too tight Tuf Neck clamp to my Quadangle.  It was only on the bike for 2 days before I reverted back to an MX hinged, but it was enough through fitting and removal to scrape a good chunk of powder off.  Again non-original finish so not as bad, and its covered by the new clamp, but still gutting as I know its there and it will no doubt harm the value slightly should I ever sell.  Silly mistake...

I don't think that detracts from how good that frame is Munners, so it's had some wheels on, that's what it's for.

still an awesome frame in awesome condition.  :daumenhoch:

I think you biggest mistake was tightening them up to much  :(

Still a very very sweet frame   :smitten:

It's only a problem if the potential buyer wants to keep it unbuilt as a display piece  ;)
You'd deserve a good big slap for overtightening those nuts, Nick especially on a bike that was only wheelied on a carpet I bet  :LolLolLolLol:

Well, you live and learn...

Dont worry about the drop outs.......worry about the holes burnt in the dropouts when weldin took place, must have had the amps a bit high  ...OR is this how skyway shipped them out? ???

I'll give you £50 for it Nick...  Those burn holes in the drop outs really affect its value.  Shody Skyway workmanship. :yahoo_silent:

Might be a stupid question but can you ride with nylon washers without it being an issue?
I know most wouldn't ride a show bike like this but for those who'd like to look after their daily rides would it be a problem? ???

My biggest mistake was swapping my comp III's when I was 11 with a so called mate for some 'freestyle white walls'
...turned out to be off a raleigh shopper :-[ :uglystupid2:

There I said it out loud. Therapy over :)

You cant ride on nylon washers. As soon as you tighten up they just break.

You can, you just have to get the right ones  :daumenhoch:

Don't get the crap ones from B&Q, Homebase, etc, they are too thin. Track down some quality thicker ones which you can then tighten as much as steel washers and can ride on.
