no

I had one for a bit, and the drop outs appeared to spread just tightening the nuts up.

however, Beard did race one, not sure if he had the original forks on though.

Race One At Your Peril.

They are not made for racing those bikes.

They are a copys of the old burners ..... of course they aint made for racing!  :LolLolLolLol:

(although to be fair, many bikes from the 80s had dropouts that were just as bad!)

They weren't built for racing... I don't doubt that they would be up to the job as they are very well made (despite what people may think!).

But I think they would be more suited to a smaller rider (I hope thats not offensive  :-X)

I did race one for the Winter 07 Northern Regionals and it performed fairly well, but as you all know I am not the fastest or hardest rider (novice at best!!! :D :D).

If your a Burner Fan and wanting something to cruise along the Seafront or ride to the Pub on... they are spot on and I love them...  :smitten:

But if your a 'serious' old schooler wanting to race.... I'd stick with the ELF.
