Just snaped this! >:( wasnt even tightening it that hard! anyone got one lying about i could buy or have?, its an allen key type not bolt type, dad had an idea of glueing it with apoxy resin? good idea? :-\

Magna - you didn't have your stem bolts tight when you did this did you?

Got to loosen them first, then tweak your headset with the top cap deal    ;)     It's not there to do owt except help you tighten your headset   :)

This bolt should NEVER be "tight", "nipped up, yes, tight, no. Like Bob said, you have to loosen the pinch bolts first and this bolt is simply to take up play/preload on the bearings. Apart from that, it does not form any structural integrity of the headset as the pinch bolts are what holds it all together.
