1987 Tizer World Championships.....Who was there?

If you were there, what do you remember?
Were you a rider?
A fan?
Innocent bystander?

Post up your memories and pictures, magazine shots, whatever......

This should be fun!

Too many memories to mention but the ones that stick in my head are:

Seeing Hoffman ride for the first time.
Hoffman telling me my bars were bent (he's bike was hardly dialled in  :2funny:)
Having my 15th birthday during the week of the event and peeps buying me beers.
University Digs
Hoffmam shattering tuff 2's like it was nowt.
Greg Guillotte doing a ramp run on about six different bikes.
My rear wheel locking up mid flatland run.

I could go on forever it was a crazy week and I'm gratefull to have been involved.

I dont have many pics but heres a few I found.

We went to our local event, Granby Halls in Leicester, during the dinner break we took Hoffman, Pepi winder and a few others up to the crown courts to ride the banks, when we got back the organisers were going mad as there star performers had gone awol ;D

'87 was the Tour - Woking, Maidenhead, Gloucester, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester and finals in Carlisle.
'88, which was one venue, was the Armitage Centre in Manchester.

There were two events at woking, 1st one was a BFA National which was a warm up for the Worlds, which then started at Woking.

Me and my mate went to the Gloucester round in 87.

Saw Mat Hoffman there but he didn't ride.

Some guy called Greg was pretty awesome as well.  :LolLolLolLol:

His timing was awesome and managed to hit a huge air right on que in practice and in the event itself.
