1984 Torker Freestylist

1st project which I'm expecting to complete by MK09

Will no doubt be speaking to Del for some custom decals as the decals already on the frame don't fit in with my intended colour scheme of Chrome, Red & White

Will also be speaking to SBD for a new paint job as the forks (which are not original Torker forks, although I wish they were!!!) are not an exact colour match to the frame and the finish isn't quite as good. Perhaps some blending from Red to White from the headset and somewhere else on the Frame, perhaps the seat post tube.

I dunno, I'm rambling...

I need to mess about with Adobe Illustrator or something

Moose has a cracker, original forks & unrestored I think.

Were these 84    didn't know that, I thought they were later.

Its a shame these have a 5" headtube, makes getting forks a bit of a pain  

So what forks did these come with, I don't think I have ever seen a pair  

Looking forward to seeing this built & yes give SBD a shout, his work is the best

I think they came as a frame or complete bike only?

Alans had a load of these frames a few years back, and offered them with copy Landing Gear as this one has, yeah the 5" headtube narrows down the options,

looks fine with those forks !

Forks just like regular Torker forks but with dodgy welded on standers at the bottom of the legs.

What colour are you going for?

Not sure m8 TBH.

I think it looks good in White. I just don't really like the Yellow with the Black outlining on Crome background.

Got a quote from Ashford Chroming who wanted £300 to chrome/re-chrome f+f!!! Not prepared to pay that as I've just spent £500 on f+f and components to build it up

I guess the world's my oyster with colour choice but I think it'll be White unless I can get f+f chromed at a reasonable price

I fancy doing something around this (found on bmxmuseum) for the decals; Clear/White fade to Red with Red Outline (but ignoring the 2 in "Torker 2"):-



Perhaps something around this for the other decal set I found on bmxmuseum; Clear/White with Red outline:-



Maybe a combination of the 2 sets to get the best, IMHO

There's no marking on the forks so i don't know what they are. Any ideas?

Perhaps I've been a bit naive and premature coz of bought up sh*tloads of components prior to buying f+f 

I've got a 1 piece DiamonBack crank , a sugino chainring/spider, a Haro Fusion stem and Haro Half Layback Seat Post (or Haro Snake seat post). Do you think any of these aren't going to fit...?

Want some Red Tuff II's for the Red/White theme but again haven't taken into account axle size and not sure what I can get... 

Also don't know what BB to buy. I've been looking at primo sealed but again not sure what size I should buy 

I may be about to learn my first lessons

Defiantly not the first two, they are for 3pc cranks, it will look like the third one but I'm not sure if you need 24 or 28 tpi.
